SYSV.2 UUCP checks the pid as well. I added modifications to kermit to
use this feature when it checks the LCK files. Unfortunately, kermit
on most systems cannot remove lock files since it usually requires setuid
priviledges to do so. With the LCK directory idea in 4.3 UUCP, this
is no longer an issue.
