As part of a project of the Commercial Working Group of the DECUS VAX SIG,
a White Paper on Tape Allocation and the Mount System Under VMS is in the
final stages of development.  The text of the white paper is available
via anonymous ftp from sally.utexas.edu.  The file is ~ftp/pub/vmsmount.

Comments, additions and corrections to this draft are solicited.  I will
be happ to mail the document to anyone unable to perform an anonymous ftp.
