It is similar to Emacs in that it the key-bindings are variable, and it is extensible. The major difference is that it does not use Lisp (or Mock-Lisp) for the extensible language. Instead it uses a C-like language. It seems to be well written -- I've never had a problem with it. I believe it costs ~$150.00.
