It's pretty annoying getting " * " used as my fill-prefix in a mail note just because I'm editing comments in a C file. Or is this a bug that goes away in 18? As long as I'm asking, does anyone have a hack making something like indented-text-mode as a submode that can be used in (for example) mail-mode or TeX-mode.
