Summary: How do you compile JOVE under Venix on an AT ?

Hi, folks.  We just got Jove, which seems a nice Emacs substitute on
micros.  It compiled and ran first time under Venix on our
Professional 380. However, we are having trouble compiling it under
Venix on the IBM PC/AT. Has anyone out there successfully installed
Jove on the AT with Venix ? The problem seems to be symbol table
size in the loading stage.
