Does anyone know how to get it to print in the 40 cps mode >from AmigaDos? Changing the PRINT QUALITY selection in Preferences should do it. If you don't want to do that, try copy * to prt: Then type: [2"z-\ (ignore spaces) (that's ESC key, [, 2, ", z, hold CTRL and press \) You just typed the ISO standard escape sequence for NLQ ON. You won't see anything on the screen while typing because the "copy * to prt:" has redirected the keyboard to the printer. The -\ terminates the * "file" being copied to PRT: and brings back normal keyboard IO and your prompt. Now, if you Type your text file to PRT:, it will be printed in near letter quality. -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Carolyn Scheppner -- CBM >>Amiga Technical Support<< UUCP ...{allegra,caip,ihnp4,seismo}!cbmvax!carolyn PHONE 215-431-9180 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
