A local store had a grand opening of their second location, and they had 20 Mono/SS systems at $399. No way could I pass that up! Even at this ridiculously low price, it took all my spare cash and then some, so I'm stuck with PD and the bundled software. Now to the point, 1st Word seems to be a reasonable low level word processor, but I've got a problem with it talking to my SG-10. I re-worked the driver, installed it, moved it to root and almost everything works. What doesn't work is the NLQ select at print time, no matter what I select when it asks me, I always get draft quality. I can't find anything in the driver that allows me to set the NLQ escape sequence by itself, it works ok when I switch to NLQ in the document, but that's not what I'm looking for. I suspect this has already been covered, but I wasn't really paying attention. I hadn't really planned on buying an ST yet, but it couldn't be helped :-) If anyone knows of a fix, I and about six others in our local ST user group will be very happy to know what it is.
