Subject: reading IBM disk on the ST and vice versa

i know that this has been answered before but at the time i did not
have a 5 1/4" drive on my ST and i passed the postings by, so please
email answers to me to save net resources. anywho, 2 questions; 1)
can the atari read quad density disks (1.2Mbyte formatted) and 2)
where do you have to format the disks? on the IBM or the ST; does
anyone know why disks formatted on the atari cant be read on the
IBM, as in what is missing and/or needs to be changed in the ST
format program etc.
