There are bugs in appl_find (see the gem bug list that a posted a few days ago), where appl_find will find an application even if the application goes away, until another application is loaded. If you caught Mark Skapnniker's (sp?) article in the new STarT, he comments that appl_t* functions are very inefficient. Did you notice that the Balma and fitler book are missing all the vdi input and vext_* functions. I wonder why?
