Three ST owners [.. went to market ....] I've been using vix pretty much exclusively, and I have not had any of the problems you mentioned. I try not to use it for very large bodies of text, but that's mainly because my ramdisk tends to throw up if it gets filled up to it's limit (with programs, text files, whatever.)
