The problem being the the EBCDIC code never has had consistant translations between the characters on printers, keypunches, displays and their ascii equivalents. This resultes in a 'correct' translation and a 'useful' translation. YEECH!!! If you are using a IBM system, you are screwed. If you're on a ascii flavor unix system, then you can arrange to have articles posted locally uucp'ed to a backbone or other non-ibm site. Many sites will accept postings through rnews or rnmail even though they can't accomodate extra feeds.
