Message-ID: <269@mtuni.UUCP> Date: Tue, 23-Sep-86 18:31:06 EDT Article-I.D.: mtuni.269 Posted: Tue Sep 23 18:31:06 1986 Date-Received: Wed, 24-Sep-86 01:02:40 EDT Distribution: net Organization: AT&T ISL Middletown NJ USA Lines: 19 Skyles Electric Works of Mountain View, CA manufactures an installable chip called "1541 Flash" which supposedly speeds up operation of the drive by about five times. When I heard this I said GREAT!, until I called them and they told me the price was $69.95 + $4.50 shipping. I am still interested in this product, but would like to hear some feedback from anyone who has used it or knows anything about it (or any other similar product) first before I rush out and buy one. I have seen a cartridge which accomplishes this, but I have a MIDI controller plugged in to that slot. Thanks in advance. Also, sorry if this has been covered but I am new to this newsgroup.
