First of all, when creating a new menu in a resource file, the information at the beginning of the entry (flags, width, height, etc.) come up blank. Now I know the Menu Manager figures out the dimensions of the menu so I wonder why you'd set it. Furthermore, if you don't figure out the menu's flags and set the 8 digit hex number correctly (hey, is this an IBM?) the menu comes up Disabled. Very un-Mac like...am I missing something? Second of all, when I indicate that a menu item begin life as Disabled, it only ends up that way SOMETIMES, yet if I subsequently edit the Menu resource with REdit and again set the item to Disabled, it really becomes disabled. Hummm. Any concurrence? Jeff
