once you master an editor-interface well, you shouldn't have to waste your time
to learn another one - which isn't likely going to be a cost-effective move
anyway.  I am convinced that the same is true for learning natural languages
and consider the years I spent on Latin, Greek, French, etc. time that was
not spent in a very productive manner.  I approve of it for cultural and
humanistic reasons though and wished I could find the time to polish my
French again .....
