It seems to me that the Mac "system" can potentially offer a very good technical
word processing tool at a reasonable cost.  Consider using the Full Page 
Display (FPD) from Radius (see MacWorld View, Sept. 86), with MacWrite or 
MS-Word (or whatever).  Of course technical word processing includes equations. 
There are a number of "scientific" font packages available.  I do not know how 
well these packages fit in with the "what you see is what you get" (wysiwyg) 
interface of the Mac.  It seems that a previewing capability would have to 
exist to make the "system" truly valuable.

Is anyone out yonder in netland using anything like I've just described?  Does
anyone know if the scientific font packages support the wysiwyg interface?

Now all we need is someway to convert from PostScript (assuming the LaserWriter
would support all of the features (e.g. equations)) to Impress, since our laser
printers are all Imagens!
