Although those interactions looked pretty awful, to be fair I should say that my experiences with them have been fine. I bought a SuperFlight accelerator card (9.54 MHz 8086, 640K of fast memory on it) and it works fine. I needed to have it serviced - some chip died on the main board - and they serviced and returned it under the warranty in reasonable (though not wonderful) time.
