My color display just celebrated its one year anniversary (its now
out of warranty) by scrambling the screen picture in a pretty
wave pattern which none of the controls will correct.  I'm told
that the board needs to be replaced (there is only one board).
I am also told that I could buy a new monitor with the replacement 
cost.  Anyone else have similar experience?  Is this last statement
true?
