EE Dept. Lines: 48 If you work on VAX or a 4.2bsd machine you're probably used to typing ^U (that Ctrl-U!) to delete the current line. MS-DOS added this feature in 3.1, then took it away again almost immediately. Some people have posted patches to put it back in 3.1, but I think this is a better idea: use CED with the patch supplied below! Run this message through uudecode to get cedcuesc.arc, then download cedcuesc.arc to your PC using a binary protocol like XMODEM or Kermit in SET FILE TYPE BINARY mode. Run the file through ARC and you'll get two files -- CEDCU.BAT and CEDCUESC.BAT. You'll need to put CED.COM version 1.0C in the same directory, then run one of these two batch files. CEDCU.BAT will create a CEDCU.COM which looks for ^U _instead_ of ESCape; CEDCUESC.BAT will create CEDCUESC.COM which looks for either ^U or ESCape. I prefer the former because I like to be able to directly key in escape sequences to send to my printer directly, but take your pick... (I put a few comments in the batch files which might explain what's going on!) Let me know if it works out... -Colin Kelley ..{cbmvax,pyrnj,psuvax1}!vu-vlsi!colin begin 644 cedcuesc.arc M&@A#141#52Y"050```34J@$``$L-B%+8OQ8"```,9][0>0-"3)DS:=PT4+"P M#`@;-&B`B%%CH1L08\J0&5/'Q9@W;1;>61AGX4(J:-+,`6$F#1N'=URR`0$G M#)TQ:$`,*4)DH@L88T`,!%%GCD,O54#(L8FFC!RA:,)<+#)E2!@X#LV\>4JG M*0@V"1VND;D09YBE8^@X=0$"1!`Q;^PX5`DB#`@R9<34.0-BSA@Y:>#0`7$G M)4Z,4=V<*;.RJT,Q>=36'0Q1HADY("<*68B"JE6L*802I`@"!=(4;$%D>5,' MHU2E9>"P"9,1JD/28>#*)9RFJVT03?'4]9LF#8@W9A9*S0-B31GF>5B?(/,U MC7.66ZN[$2O3!:0!)A6@=-CF#9DT+36R=#EWY1W`=-1>9#TXS,J=1(94<3'D M29/4381QW1QUR.%0='64U=08:T!E$PB]$;;5&BL9I)6!&+T!1QX)\15A7$Z!
