Breaking down the discussions by topics from the top down is reasonable. Unfortunately the implementation of the plan seems to be going sour. This is not intended as a flame against anyone or any site, but who is responsible for sending out the newgroup control messages? Since the first couple of newgroup messages from Mark Horton to create several talk groups, about fifteen or so subgroups in the new talk and soc groups have had traffic without group creation. My site is three systems removed from a backbone (uw-beaver) and there hasn't been significant downtime in the past three weeks, so I'm wondering what or where the problem is. Is this only local to the Pacific Northwest, or have some sites jumped the gun and created the new groups on their own? -- Jerry Vanden Heuvel Voice: (206) 237-5080 Boeing Commercial Airplane Co.
