Something like MacDraw would probably be ideal. Since we have several types of laser printers with different resolutions, something which generates a vector representation would probably be better than something which simply builds bitmaps (since bitmaps seem to be hard to scale properly), but don't let that stop you from responding to this request. We do lots of drawings in our papers out here, and are currently using pic to do them, but an interactive, mouse-oriented system would make things go much faster. Please don't flame me telling me that we should use a WYSIWYG system for typesetting; that option is not open to us at this time. Please respond via *mail*. If you would like a list of the responses that I get, send me mail about that too. If enough people are interested, I'll summarize to the net. -- Mike Shaddock {decvax,seismo,ihnp4akgua,philabs}!mcnc!rti-sel!shaddock "You're in a twisty maze of sendmail rules, all obscure."
