It appears to me that either net.nlang.india has undergone a 
metamorphosis (which means it is now called soc.culture.indian)
or there are two forums now to discuss the same "kind" of issues.
What is vexing is the fact that the changeover was abrupt and
no mention of it was made in the good 'ol net.nlang.india.

Being an avid reader of the (now rechristened ?? ) net, I was surprised
that the frequency of the postings had decreased - the first posting
on soc.culture.indian is dated sept. 15th, I think, which explains it
- and came to know of this change from a friend of mine.   
Anyway all you guys, (I suppose there must be quite a few in the dark )
start reading
	SOC.CULTURE.INDIAN
if you want to read, inter alia, the 
	a) 359th posting of some concert info.
	b) info. about your friend whom you lost contact with
	   (aaj se bees saal pahle - I suppose no Indian should need
	   a translation of that!!)
	c) flames generated by this posting ?!!!

In future, it will be appreciated if some knowledgeable person places
an indirection pointer in the relevant place.
