I don't particularly care where something is posted, if it involves giving
directions that, if followed, could result in injury I will post a warning
to that effect.  I was the author of the first paragraph that you quoted.

I share your frustration over the interminable duration of these rather
trivial topics; this one I was an outgrowth of the "how do you use bleach
to sterilize syringes" outgrowth of an AIDS posting.  Then the "be careful
not to mix bleach and ammonia" topic started, degrading to "what is the
chemical reaction" discussion and then a side-track to iodine and ammonia.

I'ts been weeks since I read anything on the topic, what's wrong
with your newsfeed?
