This doesn't belong in this newsgroup? Oh, but I'm just writing a follow-up, see. It's not MY fault. Blame ol' what's-his-na DON'T SHOOT ME! In article <586@zeus.UUCP> rob@dadla.tek.com (Rob Vetter) writes: > Then there's the situation where the guy across the street > from me gave his wife a gun to protect herself (he works > nights). She kept it under her pillow in case of an intruder. > Her daughter forgot to say "Mommy" when she entered the room > having to go to the bathroom - she almost got blown away. > > One vote for NO loaded guns in the house with kids. > >Rob Vetter >(503) 629-1044 >[ihnp4, ucbvax, decvax, uw-beaver]!tektronix!dadla!rob My roommate reads articles aloud to me from the Chicago Tribune. Recently there was one about somebody shooting his grandson at home in the middle of the night with all the lights out. I said something like: "If you're dumb enough to shoot in the dark, then you might as well shoot your kids, because you're too stupid to deserve to reproduce. It's just increasing the IQ of the gene pool." But was I being serious? Should I be repeating this? Should I do it in soc.singles? Probably not, but what can be done about it? "Somebody might shoot you, Tom." This is a good point. Followups to /dev/null. -= Thomas Cox =- ...ihnp4!gargoyle!sphinx!benn
