The answer is extremely simple: if you set out to do it, it won't work.

Putting it differently, the type of woman who will be interested in you
if all she knows about you is that you're on the prowl is probably not
who you're looking for.

On the other hand, if you set out to become the kind of person you would
want to meet, the rest will take care of itself.  Really.
