My theroy on the subject is that Oral sex was discovered by our 
primitive (?) ansestors when some lucky guys got wounded in the
crotch area.  His female partner does what is natural for her
to do for his wounds - She starts to lick them.  Now imagine the scene:
We see the girl with her face under his loin cloth,
and despite the pain of the wound, he starts to smile and...
well you get the idea.

Not that I think that this is THE answer, but it could have 
happened...
