You know what I HATE?  I REALLY HATE it when people have this obsession with
the word "alot".  I accidentally made the mistake of spelling "a lot" "alot"
once - and got this letter saying "A lot is two words".  That was it - no
signature, nothing else.  So I returned the mail saying:

"Right.  And 'eat sh*t and die' is four words."

Just placating a pet peeve...
