Don't forget that the dream might not be about Person X as such. People are sometimes symbols. Let's assume that you interpret the dream as meaning that you are afraid that if you become involved with X, he might not respect your needs/wants/desires/space/etc. You can talk to X about these fears without mentioning the dream.
