That's a damned healthy attitude, Griz'.  Funny, but I *do* enjoy the
thought of damaging certain individuals, real and hypothetical.  Maybe if
I one day had to come face to face with it ... but I'd really rather continue
the fantasies than take the risk really pulling that trigger.  Maybe riding
with an ambulance crew for a few weeks would be better therapy.

Of course, when you've got the gun and you *don't* want to use it, you've got
to be the most helpless person in the world.  He calls the shots, and leaves
you with two alternatives that you can't take either way.

All of the preachin' this world can give about ``violence solves nothing''
isn't worth a single story or flick where a well-written protagonist (that's
the fellow you get inside of and root for) is faced with this stinking
``dilemma''.
