This is a slippery term, though, because I see two kinds of compatibility involved -- sexual and general. Both together are great. The former can be developed if the latter is there, which is why inexperienced partners never bothered me. (Actually, I found them an awful lot of fun, once I had dropped enough hang-ups about sex that *I* was comfortable with it. I *wish* someone had nicely pursued me when *I* was a virgin, but that's another story.)
