As far as I know, that's essentially the pro-choice position, with two exceptions. First, "Eternal" consequences are relevant for those who believe in them. Second, the fetus is not legally a "person," for reasons that have been gone over before in this newsgroup, so the state need not concern itself with protecting it. Therefore, the list of consequences of abortion includes a lot of "etc.," but don't add legal consequences to the list. M. B.
