  About 2 years ago (+/-) someone posted a "pre-executor", if you
  will,  for  vi, that checked and set up some default states for
  running vi, and then exec'd the editor.  It was  a  C  program,
  and may have been a security interface.

  Anyway, if you know what I  am  talking  about  8-{),  I  would
  appreciate  it  if someone would send me a copy or a pointer to
  the source.  Thanks in advance.
