Under the current system we charge $100 per cpu hour. With the inaccuracies in VMS accounting this can be as high (pulling a figure out of the air) as $120/hr or lo and behold as low as $80/hr. Of course a super accurate accounting system could be developed but the effect with the overhead might be $200/hr. I prefer to take my chances and use the system performance in more productive ways then figuring charge-back. Frankly, I can't get excited about this subject. Maybe thats not totally true, the other scarce resource in this equation is VMS developers' time. ---------- --Thomas Linscomb aka linscomb@ngp.UTEXAS.EDU aka cctlinscomb@agl.UTEXAS.EDU --Advanced Graphics Lab/Computation Center/The University of Texas --Austin, TX 78712 phone: 512/471-0274 --uucp: ...seismo!ut-sally!ut-ngp!linscomb linscomb@ut-ngp.UUCP --bitnet: cctj001@utadnx
