I'm interested in details on IO on mailboxes and network devices. Can you use multiple buffers and read-ahead and write-behind to improve performance on these devices? Do GETs/PUTs always translate into a single QIOW? What is the default buffer size of 256 on NET devices used for by RMS? Eric Gisin, egisin@waterloo.{edu|csnet|cdn}
