However, the DEC/Shell run-time routines are included in the VMS C run-time library. I have an application where I have to convert a DEC/Shell format file specification to a VMS file specification and would like to use the routine SHELL$TO_VMS. I borrowed an old copy of the DEC/Shell documentation and it shows three arguments for this routine. The VMS V4.4 microfiche show some of the C RTL routines calling SHELL$TO_VMS with four arguments. The source for the SHELL... routines are not on the fiche. Could some kind soul please tell me what this 4th argument is for and how to use it? Thanks in advance. --Sandy Berger Marquette University Computer Services Division 517 N. 14th Street Milwaukee, WI 53233 UUCP: ...!seismo!uwvax!uwmacc!uwmcsd1!marque!mucsd!8004slb CIS: 70675,1212 GENIE: SBERGER
