    Does anyone know how to activate/configure the virtual terminal 
    feature in uVMS 4.2?  My documentation says that it must be "enabled
    for your system with the System Generation Utility (SYSGEN)".  My 
    SYSGEN documenation makes no mention of it.

I don't remember where it's documented, but the command you need, if I
remember right, is:

	CONNECT VTA0/NOADAPTOR/DRIVER:TTDRIVER

Try the I/O Reference - it might be there.  Also somewhere - perhaps the
same place - is the command to make LAT terminals disconnectable.  (You
turn on the DISCONNECT bit in the default terminal device status word.)
BTW, even after the above CONNECT, you have to do a SET TERM/DISCONNECT
to be able to disconnect on a terminal - usually, this gets done in the
system startup file for all terminals.
