EE/CS Computer Facility, Cambridge MA Lines: 17 From: lauri@mitre-bedford.ARPA We have VMS Emacs running on our VMS cluster (VAX 11/780 and 785). When editing, we've found that newlines get inserted intermittently in the text. These newlines are not visible until the next editing session however. We know this happens in the following circumstance: If you type C-f to advance, type C-d to delete a character, and then reinsert the character. Although the text looks normal for the moment, in fact a newline has been inserted following the character you just retyped. This happens when we delete full words as well and when we use the key. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
