So far, this method has worked with windows on a 750 with 4.2BSD and a Sequent with DYNIX 2.1. For those of you who've missed it, the problem is briefly this: after pausing GNU Emacs when rlogin'ed to another system in a Suntools window (Sun 4.2 Rel 3.0), typing "fg" to get back to Emacs often causes your window to hang entirely. I've found that if I do a "clear" and then a couple of RETURNs before typing "fg", I can always successfully re-enter GNU Emacs. Don't ask me why, because I'm clueless. But it works. I'd be curious to know if anybody else has a different experience. Hope this helps. +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ Scott Menter UCI ICS Computing Support Group Univ of Calif at Irvine (714) 856 7552 Irvine, California 92717 Internet: escott@ics.uci.edu UUCP: ucbvax!ucivax!escott Bitnet: escott@ucicp6 CSNet: escott%ics.uci.edu@csnet-relay +----------------------------------------------------------------------+
