They have a version of Emacs avaiable, and I would like to try it. The manula says that Emacs will work with several models of Prime CRT terminals. I remember it mentioning a momodel 45, and a model 100. I would like to access the computer from an IBM PC via modem, and so need a terminal-emulation program. Does anyone know if the 45 and 100 are compatible with terminals from other manufacturers, e.g is a Prime 100 like a VT100? Primos doesn't have termcaps or anything like that. So, the Emacs probably has the control codes for the terminal hard-coded into it. Finding out that a Prime erminal was similar to some other, or that there was a terminal-emulatin program for the IBM PC that emulated it, would be very handy. Repeated call to the local Prime office have met with no success. Thanks for any help you can give. Mike Ciaraldi seismo!rochester!ciaraldi
