    before anybody panics ("howcome i wasn't notified!?") and storms
their dealer, keep in mind that dealers and sw/hw vendors have been 
known to give out copies of the beta version.  for instance, my "cardco"
(now "c limited") ram expansion came with a stand-alone expansion.library
to allow auto-config under WB 1.1.  ask your girlfriend whether the dealer
gave her WB 1.1 as well.  if he didn't, she should complain.  another
thing you should look for is which rev of 1.2 she got.  i've seen betas
4 and 6 myself, heard about a beta 7, and i know developers just received
1.2 _gamma_ about a week ago.  c-a is still asking developers to look for
and report bugs in the gamma rev, so whatever your girlfriend has is _not_
the long-awaited official release version.
