Lines: 14 Hi, For a "reasonable" explanation of why AmigaDOS was written using BCPL and how the Amiga evolved in general, I would suggest getting a hold of the February 1986 issue if Byte magazine. Page 321 - "TRIPOS-The Roots Of AmigaDOS" - There is also an article by RJ Mical in the same issue giving an introduction and overview of the Amiga ROM Kernel.
