Having just purchased my Amiga, I am looking for an alternative to a
second disk drive.  I'm working on the assumption that someday the
third-party suppliers will get their act together and offer quality
hard disk drives and interfaces at reasonable prices, especially since
a standardized set of expansion specs now exists.  A second disk
drive is pretty much useless with a hard disk, while a meg or more of
memory can take the place of a second disk now and still be useful
when I get a hard drive.

Does anybody know of any 1meg (or more!) expansions that are

	* auto-config

	* no wait states

	* power draw from bus within acceptable limits

	* competitively priced with a 2nd disk (note that I'm saying
	  *competitively* priced...not same as.  I'm expecting memory
	  to cost more -- I'm willing to pay more at the outset for a
	  better system in the long run.)

I would like to hear of your experience with these products, and where
I may contact the manufacturers.  If you are a hardware developer
marketing your own product, I would be interested in hearing from you.

I will post a summary of the responses I receive to the net.
