What I need is a routine to parse the function the user enters. Please note, this must be very fast, because I calculate a _LOT_ of points. At present, the program is is BASIC (because lettuces take to long to complile, and without a parser I would have to re-compile the program for every new function). If however, I could get a hold of a GOOD parser, I would get it converted to C, and give a copy to whoever wants one. Thanks in advance for all assistance, -Matt =============================================================================== UUCP --> ...!{ihnp4,topaz,seismo,harvard}!uwvax!puff!beilke /kirk!diskman \uhura!scotty!diskman \checkov!diskman // ARPA --> beilke@puff.wisc.edu // CSNET --> beilke%puff.wisc.edu@csnet-relay \\ // AMIGA UUCP --> ...!{ihnp4,topaz,seismo,harvard}!uwvax!puff!beilke \// RULES!
