Had a lightening strike a few years ago very close. Burned out attenna coil or such on my TV; burned out my Hayes modem (didn't have protector on the phone line ... should remedy that) burned out a chip or two on the SSC via the modem. The II+ and everything else not mentioned above connected to it came through fine. I do now remember, however, to unplug everything when it looks a like a bad storm is near.
