It creates the files, but they always contain the original Atari values. For example I used the program to set up the cursor keys for EMACS on our VAX. I saved the key defs to EMACS.SET. Then I loaded the file back in again just to check on it. The new defs looked like they were installed. I exited the key edit program and entered uniterm, after loading EMACS.SET nothing was changed. I exited uniterm and went back to Keyedit. When I loaded the EMACS.SET file, everything was back to the original Atari values. I tried saving assembly files, standard files, and even creating a program. I tried defining function keys (F1-10) and even the regular keypad keys (a-z). But the files that Keyedit produced always came out with the standard character set values. Even the assembly file showed no changes in the assigned values. What am I doing wrong? I have a 1040 with color, TOS in ROM. Any help would be appreciated. rdroya01@ulkyvx.bitnet
