In the May '86 issue of BYTE, Webster shows benchmarks
comparing the Mac, Amiga, and ST. The disk i/o results
look like this:

		Mac Plus	ST	Amiga

Write		2.3 (sec)	30.3	7.3
Read (seq)      1.1		15.9	5.1
Read (random)	4.6	        14.2	17.8


Is this possible? How can the ST disk i/o be so  much
worse than the other two and what is the explantion?
