He would be interested in RS232 communication to transfer files. I was telling him of Kermit which is rather widespread over here. But the problem is the listed price for an RS232 interface is $150, excessive compared to the machine's. I also had a look at the Kermit doc and found it needed an Action! cartridge to work. Is there a cheaper or better alternative than that? Or is there a way to read/write Atari diskettes on other machines e. g. Commodore 64 or vice versa. Also does a server exist where I could find utilities to download. It must be a server, because I have no interactive access to Arpa. Please reply me directly as I am not on the list. Thanks for him.
