Are you trying to use c128 80-column mode with this thing? Of course the screen would stay blank in that case as the c64 mode doesn't give a hoot about the 80-column screen. This and many other programs/devices/etc. that claim to work with the c128 do so only in c64 mode; of course there's no need for this cartridge in 128 mode anyway...
