Message-ID: <4961@brl-smoke.ARPA> Date: Tue, 28-Oct-86 06:56:15 EST Article-I.D.: brl-smok.4961 Posted: Tue Oct 28 06:56:15 1986 Date-Received: Tue, 28-Oct-86 21:02:07 EST Sender: news@brl-smoke.ARPA Lines: 12 I have a pair of old Disctron hard disks, a DP400 (40mb fixed) and a DP100 (10mb removable) that I want to hook up to my CP/M machine (an H89 with a SCSI port added to it). These drives are real antiques: 8" platters, 28 hard sectors of 256 bytes each (if memory serves). Currently, they're controlled by an equally off-the-wall DTC controller board (built especially for these drives). I've talked to the supplier of my SCSI port, and he says that the software he's developed for it will only work properly with an Adaptec or Xebec or equivalent SCSI drive controller. My question: will the Adaptec or the Xebec control these mostrosities? Or am I faced with the task of developing my own code for the oddball DTC controller? Thanks in advance for any advice and info!
