The SCSI Bernoulli Box drive has such an entry only because it has to detect cartridge insertion. Any non- removable drives would probably not have VB entries. However, the Delphi suggestion that a dNeedTime entry in the driver control table was set at boot time to catch the existence of the drive after the boot is completed, but never cleared after the catch, may explain the behaviour.
