Net.micro.mac has been slated for elimination by the powers that be, along with net.sources.mac. This is based on the belief by the p-t-b that moderation will be used for high-volume newsgroups, without any regard to the benefits of an unmoderated group (e.g., efficient propagation, fast turn-arounds).
